How do i switch a jeep with quadra drive for regular four wheel drive?

I have a 96 jeep grand cherokee (zj) i am going to lift it and go offroading, but it has quadra drive which is only 4 wheel low and 4 wheel all time, i need to fix this before i get too far, does anyone know how to swap it out... what the direct fit vehicle would be? Do u just swap out the transfer case? or do you have to do more? please help|||NO YOU DO NOT have to change the front axle!! Not sure where that came from, but yes, you do have to change the complete transfer case and the NP 242 is a very good choice.

You will have to measure, you may have to adjust drive shaft lengths, but now a big deal.

Good Luck|||You would have to change the transfer case %26amp; the front axle, then you may run into electrical wiring %26amp; computer issues. Best thing you could do is trade it in on a jeep that doesent have quadratrac.|||you would have to replace your transfer case with a NV242, part number 52098917.
