What would it cost to replace the headliner in a 1989 Jeep Cherokee?

I have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee w/o a headliner and was wondering how much it would cost to have one installed. Are they available and are they easy to install yourself?|||visit auto upholster will give you an idea on how much or call/visit a junk yard might have one you can get relatively cheap|||No point in going to junk yard. They will be bad. In Texas, you are looking at $125, Can save around $40 if you pull the liner yourself and take it over to shop.

To do yourself, yes, not hard, but need at least two people. Go to good cloth shop or sewing shop. They WILL have the material.

The head liner will come out the back of the Jeep by removing the screws in side panels and lights.

Get spray adhesive. This is contact cement, so it goes on both liner and cloth. Do in Well ventilated area..don't ask how I know that!

Good Luck.

PS Add up the price of cloth and adhesive. If too close to having it done, then let professional do it, but you can do it.
