What do i need to replace to make my jeep start right away?

my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo takes about 4-5 seconds to start after i have turned the key in the ignition. Im just wondering what i need to replace to get it to start normally in a short amount of time. the starter?|||engine is fired by vaporising the fuel and igniting it... it is possible that the fuel injectors or other parts of the fuel system are dirty.. or that the ignition system such as spark plugs or or wires or coils, or distributor is not funcioning correctly. usually in cold temperature it take longer to start.. because the fuel takes more time to evaporate.. also use better fuel... more octanen rating makes the engine go longer... even though it doesnt seem that way... why do you think racing engine use 114+ octane fuel.. because it produces less predetonation... |||It could be a lot of things. It could be the starter or a fuel delivery issue (which opens up a whole realm of possibilities) Theres really not enough information to go on with the information provided in the question. When is the last time the fuel filter has been replaced? If ever? I know some Mopar vehicles do not have fuel filters, just the strainer on the sending unit. I'm not sure about this one specifically. But I would find out if it has one or not and replace it if it does.|||Quite possibly the fuel pump or pressure regulator. Fuel pump is probably in the tank. Try turning the key to the on position, but not start. Listen for the pump to prime (you may hear a bit of a whine). Give it a sec or 2. Then try to start.

for one of these, the fuel pump is not an amateur repair. You'd have to drop the tank.|||A 1994 (age: 14) car that needs to cranks about 4-5 seconds before it starts, has a starter motor that needs servicing/replacement. The carbon brushes could be worn, the commutator ring could be out of roundness, the copper conductors could be loosen at the commutator ring |||take the jeep out of it lol. doubt very seriously that its the starter like everyone else its probably due to clogged fuel filter or dirty injector or mabe the fuel is going bad but usually they just go bad with no warning
