Does the stock navigation on a 05 Jeep Grand cherokee work in hawaii?

I bought an 05 Jeep grand Cherokee with a stock navigation unit minus the navigation disc in here in Hawaii and nobody can give me a straight answer on if it will work. I have spoken with multiple Jeep dealers and called jeep headquarters, all with the same result. Please someone help.|||You need the NAV disc. Most OEM systems have only the continental US states in their hard drives. Check ebay or amazon for one if you want to save yourself a few bucks.
