How is the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 in snow and bad weather?

I am thinking about buying the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, I am aware of its amazing power and acceleration, but is it built like all the other jeeps? How is it in the snow and bad weather? And I see that its a 4x4, but is that full time or can you put it in 4x4 low? Thanks.|||The SRT8 Grand Cherokee is AWD, not 4WD. There is no lockable 4WD mode. If all you are doing it city driving, you should have no trouble.





It does have very large, wide tires that will push the snow instead of cut thru it, but I dont think you are buying this vehicle to really drive it in mud or snow, are you.





And to the moron who said by a Ford...I would put the capabilities of a Jeep against any Ford SUV and see who gets to the top of the mountain first. JEEP = 4X4. Always has, always will.|||I have always had good things to say about any jeep in the snow, and that's 2 WD too. none I've driven have ever gotten me in trouble.|||Its a AWD sports car.If you don't plan on any trail runs, don't plan any suspension lifts because it has been tuned for road handling %26amp; don't plan on towing because the tail pipe is right in the middle where a tow hitch should be. Don't forget that the tires it comes with are road tires for gripping corners....not plowing thru snow.





If you want a Jeep that hauls *** %26amp; not cargo, then this is your ride.|||the same way all jeeps do, awesome. you cant beat a jeep in the snow, or rain, or mud,or anything else|||Like any jeep, it will perform well in the snow, however, because of it's huge amounts of power and with the sporty tires it comes equipped with, I would imagine it does something like a 4 wheel burnout on the snow. I'd recommened a nice set of winter tires during the winter. It is a nice car though, I'll give it that. Wish I owned one.|||Terrible. Jeeps suck! Get a Ford Expedition instead.
