How to turn off the overhead lights on a jeep with the doors off?

I have a 2005 soft top jeep wrangler. When I take off the doors the interior light stays on. Does anyone know how to get it off when I have my doors off.|||You can get clips for a few bucks that hold the door switches in to keep the lights off. If you have your doors off a lot, wire in a switch to turn them on and off. You'll need to be sure it cuts power to both door switches.|||Other methods: Install a cut-off switch for your dome light. You can mount it right on the dash.

Permanently disable the door switches for your lights, and just use the headlight knob to control them (my switch is broken, so I do that anyway)

I've also heard of people using paper clips and other items to hold that switch in the open (door closed) position.

Scroll down to "How To Turn Off The Dome Light"|||if you dont wanna mess with fuses lol you can unscrew the little door sensor inside your door jamb and unplug it so therefore it cant relay to the dome light. thats another option. cuz i have an eclipse with lambo doors and at shows i leave doors open and dont like a dead battery. i also have a 1995 yj mudbuggy so i leave doors and top off 24/7|||Go to the fusebox and pull the fuse for the interior lights. Put some tape on the fuse and tape it to the cover for when you put the doors back on.|||open the glove box, slide the little webbing strap that holds it shut out of its slot, let the glove box fall forward and out. Pull out fuse #4. reinstall the glove box.|||Good luck
